Sources

Your catalog, as content.

Each source lands in models of its own, so your products sit next to your stories and read through the same API.

  • Shopify · Self-serve

    Your whole storefront

Products and variants, collections, pages, blogs, articles, menus and metaobjects. Connect your store from Integrations in the admin.

  • Square · On request

    Menus and inventory

Locations, categories, taxes, availability, images, items and their variations, and inventory counts. Set up with us for your project.

  • Judge.me · On request

    Reviews where they sell

Product reviews as entries, matched to products by handle, ready to show beside the story that sells them.

How it works

Connect once. Reference forever.

  1. 01

    Connect your store

Pick Shopify under Integrations and choose what to sync. Capa creates a model for each kind of thing your store holds.

  2. 02

    Capa keeps it in step

The sync runs on a schedule. A product removed in Shopify is removed in Capa, and every change clears its cached reads.

  3. 03

    Reference it from anything

Add a Model field that points at shopify_product to any model you own. Editors pick products like any other entry.

  4. 04

    Read it like the rest

Synced entries come back through REST, GraphQL and the SDK, expandable from the entries that reference them.

One request

The story and the stock, in one read.

  • Expand the products

A relation to shopify_product expands in the same request, with only the fields the page shows.

  • Filter on the store's data

Reach through the relation to filter on a product's own fields, such as its vendor.

  • Cached like everything else

The read is served from the edge and refreshed when either the lookbook or a product changes.

Questions

Before you connect.

Does it sync orders or customers?

No. Capa syncs what a storefront shows: products and variants, collections, pages, blogs, articles, menus and metaobjects. Orders and customers stay in Shopify.

Where do I edit a product?

In Shopify. Capa reads your store on every sync, so the store stays the source of truth and Capa holds the story around it.

How do I get Square or Judge.me?

Ask us. Both are set up per project on request, and then read like any other model.

Can I build on top of synced products?

Yes. Reference them from your own models, expand them in a read, and filter on their fields, the same as entries you wrote yourself.
